Milan Fashion Week Part 2: This is How We Do

In English :
In my previous post (you can find it here) I talked about the education system of the one of the most professional fashion schools. I believe you found it somehow useful, but now let's talk about funnier things of Milan, like fashion shows, cocktails and new places that I had discovered. As in the Katy Perry song "This is How We Do!" let's see, how did I do in Milan!. Unfortunately(not nice way to start post), I missed some events  that I had been invited, but still enjoyed those that I attended. I wish I had more time to discover the glamour life of the city.

Azərbaycan dilində:
Əvvəlki məqaləmdə (burdan baxa bilərsiniz) ən profesiyonal moda məktəblərindən birinin təhsil sistemi haqqında danışmışdım. Əminəm ki, sizin üçün faydalı oldu, amma gəlin bu dəfə Milanın daha əyləncəli tədbirlərindən, moda nümayişləri, kokteyllər, və kəşf etdiyim məkanlarından danışaq. Çox təəssüf ki, dəvət aldığım tədbirlərin bəzisinə gedə bilmədim, amma getdiklərimdən də böyük həzz aldım. Kaş ki, şəhərin bu qlamur həyat tərzini dərindən kəşf etmək üçün daha çox vaxtım olsa idi.

The Vogue Talents/Corner.com presentation of young designers. The two paramount names in the fashion world came together to support young talents,  to represent their collections on the powerful Vogue and  Corner.com platforms. One is the world's most important magazine, and the other one is the well known luxury online destination which is also one of my favorite e-shops. When all the attentions were on the names like Prada, Gucci or Fendi during the Milan Fashion Week, new blood like these definitely deserve more consideration. That was the great chance for them to speak to Vogue customers and sell their products directly through Corner.com. This year is the fifth presentation of the young talents chosen from all around the world, including recently launched, but very successful brands like Les Petits Joueurs, Mobi, CG, Coperni Femme, Miuniku, Curated, Kittima and etc. They have already become favorites of famous street stylers, magazines and online shops. I met with some of these designers or representatives of the brands, and had a chance to closer look at the new collections. I almost liked everything.

Vogue Talantları/Corner.com gənc dizaynerlərin təqdimatı. Moda dünyasının iki vacib nümayəndəsinin bir araya gəlməsi, gənc talantlara dəstək olmaq və onların kolleksiyalarını Vogue və Corner.com platformalarında təqdim etmək məqsədi daşıyırdı. Biri dünyanın ən əhəmiyyətli moda jurnalı, digəri isə mənim də sevimli e-shop-um olan, luks onlayn alış-veriş mərkəzidir. Bütün diqqətin Prada, Gucci və ya Fendi kimi markalarda olduğu Milan Moda Həftəsində  bu kimi bacarıqlı gənclərə daha çox diqqət ayrılmalıdır.  Ona görə də bu fürsət, yeni dizaynerlərə öz kolleksiyalarını Vogue müştərilərinə çatdırmağa və Corner.com da satışa çıxarmağa kömək edir. Bu il 5-cisi təşkil olunan sərgiyə dünyanın müxtəlif  yerlərindən olan dizaynerlər arasından seçilmiş və aralarında artıq uğur qazanmış Les Petits Joueurs, Mobi, CG, Coperni Femme, Miuniku, Curated Kittima kimi markalar da yer alır. Onlar qısa müddət ərzində küçə moda həvəskarlarının, jurnalların və onlayn satış mağazalarının sevilmlilərinə çevrilmiş gənc brendlərdir. Bu dizaynerlərdən və ya onların nümayəndələrindən bəziləri ilə tanış olmaq, söhbət etmək və yeni kolleksiyalarına daha yaxından baxmaq imkanım oldu. Demək olar bu kolleksiyaların tamamını çox bəyəndim.

COTE's new collection cocktail. Nice atmosphere,  beautiful place and great collection - what else would you want from the event! Two young designers Francesco Ferrari and Tomaso Anfosi founded this avant-garde brand with an expression of the New Wave of Made in Italy. The brand targets young, contemporary and cosmopolitan women.  I quite liked new collection, especially vibrant colors, graphic prints and craftsmanship. I also had a chance to meet with the young skillful designers of the brand.

COTE-nin yeni kolleksiya kokteyli. Əla atmosfer, gözəl məkan və möhtəşəm kolleksiya- bu  tədbirdən başqa nə istəmək olar ki! İki gənc dizayner Francesco Ferrari və Tomaso Anfosi, "Əsl Italiya Istehsalı"-nın Yeni Dalğası ifadəsi altında bu avanqard brendi qurmuşdurlar. Marka öz kolleksiyaları ilə əsasən gənc, muasir və kosmopolitan qadınları hədəf alır. Yeni kolleksiyanı xüsusilə də canlı rəngləri, qrafika basqıları və işçilik baxımdan çox bəyəndim. Bundan əlavə, bu gənc bacarıqlı dizaynerlərlə də tanış olub, söhbət etmək imkanım oldu.

Kristina Ti fashion show was held at the one of the most historical places of Milano - at the Palazzo Del Senato. Unfortunately, we had a little bit of organizational problem at the entrance, which was sorted out later. The location, atmosphere, music and the show all were great, but I cannot say same for the collection, so basic and nothing especial. Yes, it is true that the collection had some nice to wear pieces, but still I couldn't see brand identity and anything outstanding. I don't know, maybe it was just bad hospitality that affected my mood.

Kristina Ti moda nümayişi İtaliyanın ən tarixi məkanlarından birində baş tutdu- Palazzo Del Senatoda. Təəssüf ki, girişdə təşkilatçılıq problemləri yaşadıq, lakin bu tezliklə həll olundu. Məkan, atmosfer, musiqi və şou - hər şey çox əla idi, amma eyni şeyi kolleksiya üçün deyə bilmiyəcəm, olduqca sadə və xüsusi heç bir özəlliyə malik olmayan geyimlər. Əlbəttə ki, kolleksiyada gündəlik geyiniləsi gözəl parçalar var idi, ancaq brendin kimliyini temsil edəcək və diqqət çəkən daha heç nə görmədim. Bəlkə də, bütün bunlara səbəbə pis qonaqpərvərliyin kefimi pozması idi.

Biblioteca Della Moda is another must see place in Milan for those who love fashion, art, reading books and magazines. It has been 10 years since the library is relocated to the nice old building in Via Allesandria 8 and originally established with the self-interest. Now it is the house of more than 50k books, magazines, papers and digital lookbooks from 1868, including a massive archive of the Conde Nast publications such as Vogue. At the beginning, they were collecting all the valuable reading materials from designers, publishing houses and authors, but now they themselves send their issues to the Biblioteca della Moda, which are used by the hundreds of fashion students and many others.

Biblioteca Della Moda, Milanda yerləşən, modanı, incəsənəti, kitab və jurnalları oxumağı sevənlərin mütləq baş çəkməli olduğu yerlərdən biridir. Bu kitabxana artlq 10 ildir ki, Via Allesandria 8, küçəsində tarixi binalardan birində yerləşir. Şəxsi maraq nəticəsində qurulmuş bu kitab evi, bu gun 50 min kitaba, jurnala, kağız və digital kataloqa ev sahibliyi edir, eləcə də 1868-ci ildən bu yana nəşr olunmuş dəyərli jurnalların arxivinə sahibdir, bunların arasına Conce Nast-ın ilk nəşirləri olan Vogue jurnalları da daxildir. Ilk zamanlarda, Biblioteca Della Moda, dizaynerlər, nəşr evləri və müəlliflərlə əlaqə quraraq onların yeni buraxılışlarını toplayırdı, lakin indi həmin mənbələr özləri kitabxana ilə əlaqə saxlayaraq nəşrlərini göndərirər, bu da moda tələbləri və digər şəxslərin buradan daha aktiv istifadə etməsinə səbəb olur.

Finally, I would like to take you to the city side of the Milan, to the Novedrate(Como)- the greenish, lovely place located just on the border of Switherland. This popular tourist destination is surrounded by the beautiful Lake Como and Alps. I have been invited to this heaven's place by the eCampus Online University. The university that aimed to create a technological environment dedicating to learning. As the name indicates the university is mainly focused onto the distance learning,  and provides degrees in Economics, Engineering, Moda and Design and Regulations.  Building of the university was built in1970 by architect Bruno Morassutti and used as an IBM's education center until the 2003. Nothing has been changed after the purchase of this complex by the eCampus, to keep the extraordinary structure of the building. It has everything you would imagine to have, from restaurants to bars, from accomodation to prayer room, from gym to playrooms and etc. I was also invited to have a nice lunch, which I enjoyed a lot and just loved everything about this place.

Nəhayət ki, sizi Milanın kənarında, İsveçrə ilə sərhəddə yerləşən, yam-yaşıl cənnətə Novedrate(Como) şəhərinə aparmaq istəyirəm. Bu məşhur turist mərkəzi, möhtəşəm Como gölü və Alp dağları ilə əhatə olunub. Como-ya getmək səbəbim, buraya eCampus Online Universiteti tərəfindən dəvət almağım idi. Beləki, bu universitet texnologiyanın gücündən istifadə edərək öz uğurlu təhsil mühitini yaratmışdır. Adından da bəlli olduğu kimi, universitet əsasən distant təhsil ilə məşğul olmaq istəyənlər üçün nəzərdə tutulub və Ekonomika, Mühəndislik, Moda, Dizayn və Nizamnamələr ilə bağlı kurslar təklif edir. Binanın əsası 1970-ci ildə arxitekt Bruno Morassutti tərəfindən İBM şirkətinin təhsil mərkəzi olaraq qoyulub və eCampus Universiteti tərəfindən 2003-cü ildə alınıb. Alındıqdan sonra burada heç bir əsaslı dəyişiklik edilməməsi qərarı, binanın qeyri-adi strukturunun qorunmasına səbəb olub. Binada təsəvvür edə biləcəyiniz hər şey mövcuddur- restoranlardan barlara, yataxanadan ibadət otağına, idman zalından oyun zallarına qədər. Bundan əlavə Como-da etdiyim möhtəşəm nahar da, bu şəhər ilə bağlı olan hər şeyi daha çox sevməyimə səbəb oldu.

Milan Fashion Week Part 1: True Luxury Education by Accademia Del Lusso

Entrance Hall and Student's Sitting Area of the Accademia Del Lusso.

In English :

Well, in my previous post, I talked about the general life, must see places and do activities in Milan. This time, I am going to write about how did I spend my week in the city, more precisely, what did I do during a Milan Fashion Week as a guest of the Accademia Del Lusso (ADL). The fashion school that welcomed me and showed true hospitality.

Azərbaycan dilində:

Əvvəlki məqalədə, Milandakı ümumi həyat tərzi, gəziləsi yerlər və görüləsi fəaliyyətlər haqqında danışmışdım. Bu dəfə isə, Milanda keçirtdiyim həftədə, daha dəqiq desəm Milan Moda Həftəsində, Accademia Del Lusso-nun(ADL) qonağı olaraq etdiklərim haqqında yazmaq istəyirəm. Məni qarşılayan və həqiqi qonaqpərvərlik göstərən bu moda məktəbi haqqında.

I have been many cities around the world, very famous, not famous, rich, poor, big, small etc. but I haven't felt this homely and warm in any of them. Lived a very long time in England, and never seen this kind of hospitality (Sorry, my English friends, I still love you but this is true :)). Before going to the Milan I have been told that, Italians are more kind and friendlier than the rest of the European nations which I found absolutely true. Initially I thought maybe I am a guest, and because I am going to write reviews on my blog, they are treating me well. But no, during my stay, I find it out that, it is how Italians are, and I have been also told that, in the southern cities of the country, people are even more hospitable and pleasant. Before coming to the city, I decided to spend my week as Italian as possible, however, I started Milaning a bit late, from the next day of arriving to the city, since I had a very, very long flight from Baku to Doha to Milan, with Qatar Airways. Unfortunately, our lovely AZAL only flies 2 days in a week, which neither of them were suitable for me. Long story short, I had managed to get out of my bed on Monday morning and immediately went to discover school of Accademia Dell Lusso.

Bunun ilk səbəbi həddindən artıq uzun və yorucu yol səyahətimin olması idi. Beləki, istədiyim vaxta ən uyğun bileti Qatar Hava Yolları ilə tapdığıma görə uçuşum Doha üzərindən oldu. Çox təəssüf ki, bizim sevimli AZAL-ımız Milana həftədə yalnız iki gün uçur və heç biri də mənə uyğun gəlmirdi. Uzun sözün qısası, öz yerimdən güclə Bazarertəsi ayrıla bildim ki, dərhal Accademia Del Lusso-nu kəşf etmək üçün yola düşdüm.

Accademia Del Lusso

You probably have heard the name of this lovely school in some of my old posts, but now I would like to introduce it more in detail. The school was founded in 2005, as a school of fashion and design in Italy. Its main address is located in the heart of the Milano, right in the iconic Via Montenapalone street, above the Etro and Gucci stores and laboratory is located in the Via Chioggia street, also very close to the city center. Although, history of the ADL is young, it has already been well established in the sector, focused on the training of the key figures of the luxury, design and fashion sectors. What I mean is, do you want to be a brand manager in the fashion world then you should definitely start thinking of studying at the specialized school like ADL, rather than any random management school. Because, the experienced teachers, directly from the industry, help students, to know the exact requirements of the market and help them to transform their passion and skills into the profession. I had a great opportunity to meet some of these key people in the business who are also working either as a professor or a staff of the ADL and to ask them some relevant questions, which I want to share with you as well.

Accademia Del Lusso

Yəqin ki, bu məktəbin adını əvvəlki məqalələrimdə eşitmisiniz, lakin bu dəfə onun haqqında daha ətraflı danışmaq istəyirəm. Beləki, əsası 2005-ci ildə İtaliyada qoyulan bu moda və dizayn məktəbinin mərkəzi, Milanın düz ürəyində, ikonik Via Montenapalone küçəsində, EtroGucci butiklərinin üzərində yerləşir. Digər labaratoriyası isə, yenə mərkəzə yaxın küçələrdən biri olan Via Chioggia küçəsində özünə yer edib. Baxmayaraq ki, ADL-in tarixi hələ cavandır, o artıq sektorda özünə yer etməyi bacararaq lüks, moda və dizayn sektou üçün lazım olan, vacib kadrların yetişdirilməsində əsas rollardan birini oynayır. Demək istədiyim odur ki, əgər brend menecer olmağı planlaşdırırsınızsa bu zaman ADL kimi bu sahə üzrə ixtisaslaşmış məktəbdə oxumaq, hər hansı bir menecment məktəbində oxumaqdan daha yaxşıdır. Çünki, sırf bu sahə üzrə ixtisaslaşmış təcrübəli müəllimlər və professorlar, bazarın tələblərini çox gözəl başa düşür və buna uyğun olaraq, tələbələrin öz istək və bacarıqlarını peşəyə çevirməsinə köməklik göstərir. Keçirdiyim bu həftə müddətində ADL-in müəllim və işçi heyyətindən bəziləri ilə tanış olub, söhbət etmək imkanım oldu. Onlara, mənə və sizə maraqlı ola biləcək bəzi suallar verdim.

Mr. Luca D'Elia

Let's start with Mr. Luca D'Elia. The young professor that has been working at Academia Del Lusso since 2006. He is teaching Fashion and Luxury Marketing, and Sociology. Mr. Delia seemed very passionate about teaching his major and doing it exactly at the Accademia Del Lusso. He said that courses at the ADL mainly are divided in three ways. The first group is 3-year courses for young students graduated from high schools and want to undertake their university-level courses. The courses give them required theoretical and practical knowledge to operate in the fashion industry. The next group is master courses, or for those students who completed their undergraduate degree and want to specialize in fashion and brand management. The courses finish in 9 months and offer internship opportunities, thanks to the strong relationship of the school with the fashion world. Other than these two, there are also some other professional and short term courses for those who already have knowledge in the fashion and luxury industry, but want to maintain their skills, further develop their understanding of the sector and learn new tendencies. During our conversation with Mr. Delia, he mentioned that school's biggest success can be seen on all the changes that happen to the students during their study. They came here with the lack of some knowledge and skills, and graduate with the required abilities to do whatever they wanted to do in their life. But it is very important for everyone to follow their passion and make money out of it, as Andy Warhol said: "Making money is art and working is art and good business is the best art."

Gəlin Luca D'Elia ilə söhbətimizə başlayaq. Accademia Del Lusso-da 2006-cı ildən bəri çalışan bu gənc professor, Moda, Lüks Marketinq və Sosiologiya dərslərini deyir. İşinə həddindən artıq maraqla yanaşan cənab D'Elia, ADL-dəki kursların əsasən 3 hissəyə bölündüyünü bildirdi. Birinci qrup, məktəbdən məzun olmuş və bakalavr təhsili almaq istəyənlər üçün nəzərdə tutulmuş 3 illik kurslardır. Bu kurslar, tələbələrə lazımı nəzəri və praktiki biliklərə yiyələnməyə köməklik edir. İkinci qrup isə, bu səviyyəni artıq bitirmiş və magistratura səviyyəsində ixtisaslaşmaq istəyənlər üçün nəzərdə tutulub. 9 ay davam edən bu kurslar, daha sonra universitetin moda sektoru ilə olan yaxın əlaqələri sayəsində tələbələrə təcrübə imkanları yaradır. Bu ikisindən əlavə, burada profesiyonal və qısa müddətli kurslarda mövcuddur. Bu kurslar, moda və lüks sektor haqqında biliyi olan, lakin öz bacarıqlarını möhkəmləndirmək, bazarı daha dərindən öyrənmək və yeni tendensiyalar ilə tanış olmaq istəyənlər üçün nəzərdə tutulub. Cənab D'Elia ilə söhbətimiz zamanı, məktəbin ən böyük uğurunun tələbələrdə baş verən dəyişikliklər olduğunu dedi. Onlar buraya bəzi bilik və bacarıqları olmadan gəlir və əldə edərək öz həyatlarına davam edirlər. Amma ən əsası odur ki hər kəs öz arzuladığı işi, böyük maraqla görsün. Çünki, sevdiyin işdən gəlir əldə etmək elə ən yaxşı biznesdir, Andy Warhol-un dediyi kimi: "Pul qazanmaq incəsənətdir, İşləmək də incəsənətdir, Yaxşı biznes isə ən yaxşı incəsənətdir"

MrFerrante, photo by Martina Ghiringhelli

Mr.  Raffaela Ferrante is a well-known professor of the ADL, who teaches Retail and previously worked as a Marketing Coach and Design Management Consultant of the big names such as Ralph Lauren, Micael Kors, Coach and Adidas. Mr. Ferrante indicated that one of the main goals of the school has always been to create and keep a good connection with big companies, so that students of the school could easily join to these brands. He said that, now he is very proud of the achievements of the school as they have a very trustful relationship with the big brands, who are looking for the successful students of the ADL as a proficient candidate to work for them. For example, recently team of students of the ADL has been asked to collaborate with the Prada on the retail project. Also, graduates of the ADL are joining to the brands such as the Versace, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo and the Valentino, to do their internship.

ADL-in tanınmış müəllimlərindən biri olan Rafaela Ferrante, Pərakəndə Satış dərslərini keçməklə yanaşı həm də dünyanın tanınmış firmaları, məsələn  Ralph Lauren, Micael Kors, CoachAdidas kimi markalara Marketinq Rəhbərliyi və Konsaltinq edir. Cənab Ferrante şirkətin hər zaman ən böyük məqsədinin bu kimi firmalar ilə güclü əlaqələr saxlamaq olduğunu bildirdi ki, bu da tələbələrin həmin markalara rahatlıqla qoşulmasına köməklik göstərsin. O, ADL-in artıq buna nail olduğunu qururla deyerək, böyük brendlər ilə güclü və güvənli əlaqələr qurduqlarını bildirdi. Bu da məktəbin müvəffəqiyyətli tələbələrinin profesianal namizədlər olaraq işə qəbul edilmələrinin ən əsas səbəbidir. Məsələn bu yaxınlarda ADL-in tələbələrindən ibarət komandası, Prada ilə ortaq pərakəndə satış proyekati üzərində işləyiblər. Bununla yamaşı, məzunlar,  Versace, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo Valentino kimi şirkətlərdə praktika etmək imkanı qazanırlar.

Mr. Giglio Roncaglia

Mr. Giglio Roncaglia has been working as a Fashion Communication Professor at the Accademia Dell Lusso for 10 years.  He is a well known person in the education system, who is teaching Fashion Communication and Branding. He mentioned that, fashion communication process is mainly divided into two parts. In the first bit, it is how the brand identity is defined. That shows who the company is?!, and what should the customers and the community expect from it?! The way it interacts with them and the service or the products are provided to them. The second bit is the advertisements. Using a power of the different communication tools, the brand awareness is created. Next, I asked him to know, what he thinks about the luxury brand communication and Mr. Roncaglia explained the process with several stages. The adventure of the product starts with the introduction to the market and the relevant price tag is hung on them. On the other hand, luxury brands use premium pricing strategy to keep the price of the product at their high in order to encourage favorable perceptions among buyers. And also there is a very niche segment of mythical products - those that, are sitting on the top of the pyramid. These are the products that consumers are certainly willing to pay even more.

The heritage bags of the Hermes and the iconic watches of the Rolex are probably in this category. In general, each company uses different pricing, branding and marketing strategies to target different segments. Mr. Roncaglia further mentioned the importance of the modern communication tools such as the Internet and the social media in new business strategies of the luxury brands. At the end of our discussion, he said that he always advice to his students not to worry to try new methods and to be open-minded for up-coming innovations, because this sector is changing a lot and a lot. So they have to experiment and investigate more.

Birinci hissə brendin kimliyinin müəyyən edilməsidir. Bu şirkətin kim olduğunu və müştərilərin eləcə də cəmiyyətin ondan nə gözləməli olduğunu, onlar ilə necə əlaqə saxlayacağını, hansı məhsul və xidmətləri göstərəcəyini müəyyənləşdirir. İkinci qismi isə reklam işidir. Müxtəlif kommunikasiya vasitələrindən istifadə edərək, brendin tanıtımı aparılır. Daha sonra, mən onun lüks brendlərin kommunikasiyası ilə bağlı fikilərini öyrənmək istədim və professor bunu bir neçə mərhələ ilə izah etdi. Beləki, yeni məhsulun macərası, onun bazara satışa çıxması ilə başlayır, və ona uyğun qiymət nişanı üzərindən asılır. Digər tərəfdən, lüks markalar premium qimətləndirmə strategiyasından istifadə edirlər ki, bu da alıcılar arasında əlverişlilik qavramını artırmaq üçün qiymətlərin yüksək tutulması prinsipidir. Sonuncu olaraq isə, ətrafında miflər yaranmış məhsulların olduğunu bildirən professor, bu məhsulların piramidanın ən uc nöqtəsində yer aldığını və artıq müəyyən kimliyə sahib olduğunu bildirdi. Hermes-in tarixi olan çantalarını və Rolex-in ikonik saatlarını bu siyahıya daxil etmək olar. Amma, ümmumiyyətlə, hər firma müxtəlif qiymətləndirmə, brendinq, və marketinq strategiyalarıını həyata keçirdir ki, müxtəlif seqmentləri hədəf altına ala bilsin. Proffessor bundan başqa müasir kommunikasiya vasitələri olan sosial mediya, İnternetin də, şirkətlərin yeni biznes strategiyalarında çox vacib rol oynadığını bildirdi. Sonda onun tələbələrə verəcəyi məsləhət olub olmadığını soruşduqda, cənab Roncaglia,  onlara yeni metodları yoxlamaqdan qorxmamaqlarını və yeniliklərə hər zaman açıq olmaqlarını məsləhət gördü, çünki, bu sektor çox tez-tez dəyişir. Buna görə də onlar təcrübələr etməli və tədqiqatlar aparmalıdırlar.

Mr Giovanni Pilla

Mr. Giovanni Pilla is another experienced professor of the ADL, at the Department of Fashion. He is an expert of new fabrics and as well as doing a consulting for products and collections. He takes part in the entire process, from designing to prototyping and from the fabrics and patterns to the creation and presentation of the entire collection, and of course targeting of the end customers. According to his view, fashion trends have a tendency to repeat themselves. It's all about different decades, 60's, 70's etc., but techniques and fabrics are changing and becoming more innovative. He indicated that, everything in the process starts with an idea, the one that shapes whole collection. Then the fabrics are selected and clothes get their shapes.

Giovanni Pilla  ADL-in Moda Departamentində çalışıan növbəti təcrübəli müəllimlərindən biridir . O yeni parçalar(materiallar) üzrə mütəxəsisdir,  eləcə də yeni məhsullar və kolleksiyalar üçün konsaltinq edir. Cənab Pilla, dizayndan prototiplərə, materiallar və naxışlardan kolleksiyanın tamamının hazırlanması və təqdimatına, və əlbəttə ki müştəri seqmentlərinin seçilməsi və hədəf alınamsı proselərinin tamamında iştirak edir. Onun fikrincə moda 60-cı illər, 70-ci illər və s. olaraq eyni tendensiyalar üzrə təkrarlanır, ən vacibi isə materiallar və texnikadır.

Ms. Barbara Sordi is a Fashion Designing and History tutor at the ADL. Her main role is to teach her students, how to create illustrations, to sketch and to choose fabrics for their collections. Ms. Sordi mentioned that, she always tries to help her students with appropriate guidelines and suggests them to follow upcoming trends, but also have their own vision in the making of new collections. She said that, nowadays it is hard to find a real commercial talent. The one that better knows and designs according to the requirements of the market. On the other hand, some people in the industry are more artists than the actual designers. They are creative people with different vision and fantasy and the extraordinary clothes that they make are usually not for sale. Next, I asked her, the process of the buying new fabrics for collections and she said that there are some well-known suppliers in the market, who are selling their seasonal fabrics to the designers. When the chosen fabrics are doing well and the clothes made of them selling more, then,  designers usually order more of those fabrics. If the designer wants to be the only one that uses certain fabrics, then they have to buy sufficient amount. Big names usually make their fabrics at home to prevent exclusivity.

Barbara Sordi ADL-də Moda Dizaynı və Tarixindən dərs deyən müəllimdir. Onun əsas rolu öz tələbələrinə kolleksiyaları üçün ilustrasiyalar etməyi, skeçlər çəkməyi və yeni materiallar seçməyi öyrətməkdir. Xanım bildirdi ki, o hər zaman öz tələbələrinə bələdçilik edir, onlara düzgün yolları göstərir və yeni trendləri izləməyi məsləhət görür, amma hər zaman yeni kolleksiyaları üçün öz baxışlarını formalaşdırmağı tapşırır. O muasir dovürdə əsl komersiya məqsədli, bazarın tələblərini bilən və ona uyğun dizayn edən istedadlı gəncləri tapamağın çətin olduğunu bildirdi.  Digər tərəfdən bəzi insanların dizaynerdən çox incəsənət xadimi olduğunu da qeyd etdi. Onlar müxtəlif təxəyyül və fantaziyaları olan yaradıcı insanlardır. Lakin onların hazırladığı geyimlər adətən satılmaq üçün nəzədə tutulmur. Daha sonra mən ondan yeni kolleksiyalara parçaların alınması prosesi ilə bağlı sual verdim və o mənə bazarda öz mövsümü parçalarını satan, tanınmış təhcizatçılar olduğunu bildirdi. Dizaynerin seçdiyi parçalardan hazırlanmış məhsulların satışları yüksək olduqda, dizayner adətən həmin fabrikdən yenə sifariş verir. Əgər dizayner hər hansı bir parçanı sadəcə özü istifadə etmək istəyirsə bu zaman ondan müəyyən ölçüdə sifariş etməlidir. Böyük markalar eksklusivliyi qorumaq məqsədi ilə parçalarını özləri istehsal edirlər.

Ms. Antonella Specchia

Many times we want to do something in the particular area, but tons of questions and doubts encumber us. The ADL has a very good solution for this. Ms Antonella Specchia -  the fashion specialist, who studied her education as the Fashion student in Milan. Basically, her role is to help candidates who want to study fashion, but cannot make their mind to decide, if they have required skills, and if so, to which part of the industry they should get involved. Ms. Specchia assists this kind of young talents to identify their interests and skills, such as whether they have creative or managerial skills for particular tasks. She indicated that all in all, the most important thing is the passion, because during their studies, students are educated with the required theoretical knowledge and their practical abilities are trained. To make sure that each student gets required amount of tuition, classes are kept with the minimum number of students, so that everybody can be involved. But, she mentioned that it is far better to be realistic and to know yourself. For example, the idea of being a designer should also be compatible with your skills, at least you need to be a creative person with a strong imagination and fantasy or if you are a more technical person then you would be more successful in the management or other related subjects.

With her nice sense of humor, my favorite dialogue was with Ms. Francesca Pasqui, the admission manager of the ADL.  Dressed with style and speaking fluent English, Ms. Pasqui described the process  of the admission especially for international candidates.  She said that, the admission starts with the pre-evaluation of the applicants, then the Academic Committee considers who are going to catch the opportunity to study at the ADL and immediately bureaucratic procedures for visa start. Students, can choose to study either in English or Italian, but there is the minimum language requirement that, they should consider before starting their actual course. If students don't have a sufficient level of language abilities,  they can start with a 3 month course with more than 250 hours of lessons at the ADL. Candidates from all over the world, especially from Shangai, Brazil, Istanbul, Dubai and Moscow show more interest to study here.

Yüksək yumor hissinə malik olduğu üçün, mənim ən xoşuma gələn intervyum Francesca Pasqui ilə oldu. O ADL-in tələbə qəbulu üzrə meneceri vəzifəsində çalışır. Əgər tələbələrin dil bacarığı kifayət qədər güclü deyilsə,  bu zaman onlar ADL-in tərkibində tərtib olunmuş 3 aylıq- 250 saatdan çox olan intensiv dərslərə başlaya bilər. Dünyanın hər yerindən, xüsusilə də, Şanxay, Braziliya, İstanbul, Dubay və Moskva kimi şəhərlərdən burada oxumaq üçün tələbələr maraq göstərir.

Ms Maria Oliveira
My final interview was with the 1st year Fashion Styling student of the ADL, Ms. Maira Oliveira. My goal was to know her opinions about studying at this education center. Ms. Oliveira said, she is very happy to study here and satisfied with the quality of the education provided. She is from Portugal and came to Milan, especially to study Styling because she likes the unlimited visual capabilities of the subject. Initially, she had difficulties with the learning of Italian, but she is very patient and overcame the problem with the help of her professors, who know their work very well. Ms Oliveria, talked about her career plan and mentioned that her origins are from Africa and African ethnic motives are her biggest inspiration in styling. Thus, she likes the collections of the Etro and the Stella Jean more.

Mənim sonuncu intervyum ADL-də Moda Stilistliyi oxuyan 1-ci kurs tələbəsi Maira Oliveira ilə odlu. İlk məqsədim onun bu təhsil mərkəzi ilə bağlı fikirlərini öyrənmək idi. Maria, burada oxumaqdan çox böyük zövq aldığını və təhsilin keyfiyyətindən olduqca razı qaldığını bildirdi. O, ailəsinin Portuqaliyada yaşadığını və Milana məhz vizual imkanları sonsuz olduğu üçün stilistlik oxumaq məqsədi ilə gəldiyini bildirdi. Gəldiyi ilk vaxtlarda ən böyük çətinliyinin dil olduğunu deyən Maria, çox səbirli olduğunu və təcrübəli müəllimlərin köməyi ilə bu problemin öhdəsindən gəldiyini bildirdi. O həm də kariyera planlarından danışdı, beləki, xanımın ailə kökləri Afrikaya dayandığı üçün, styling işlərindəki ən böyük ilhamı Afrikanın etnik motivləridir. Buna görə də o, ən çox Etro və Stella Jean-in kolleksiyalarını bəyənir.
Students from the ADL's Serbia branch came to Milan to discover the head office.

Fashion Laboratory

A classroom designed as an actual shop, to teach Visual Merchandising.

Each classroom named after one of the great fashion designers, this is a Vivienne Westwood room.

I still have too much to talk about Accademia Del Lusso and Milan Fashion Week, but this post is already too long, then see you in the second part soon :) Website of the ADL is here.

Accademia Del Lusso və Milan Moda Həftəsi haqqında danışmaq istədiyim hələ çox şey var, lakin bu məqalə artıq çox uzun oldu, ona görə də, davamı ilə ikici hissədə görüşərik. :) ADL-in saytına buradan daxil ola bilərsiz.

Final Note:

Dear friends, I want to make it clear that, all the above written texts are my interpretation of the answers that I got from the interviewed people. They don't have to be exactly correct, or interviewed people don't have any responsibility for what was written here. Most of these interviews are translated from Italian. Thus, if you find something wrong, sorry for that and if you want, you can inform me to correct them. I hope you enjoyed it.
